Suggested stories

Find recommended stories based on your favourite genres and reading history.

 

• When you log in to the mobile app for the first time, you will be asked to choose your favourite genres. This enables Novellea to recommend your very first stories to read.

• Select the genres you like and then tap Save.

• Suggested stories will now be based on your favourite genres.

To update your favourite genres:

​

• Tap on the Library icon at the bottom right corner of your screen.

• Tap on Following at the top right corner of your screen (you may need to side-scroll on smaller devices).

• Tap on Genres.

• Tap on Follow to follow a new genre, or Following to unfollow. Your suggested stories will be updated.

Discover stories

​

See the latest additions by authors, or sort by what is trending or top in a given period. Also, explore new stories by genre.

 

• Tap the Discover icon located at the bottom of the home screen.

• Filter the stories by the latest, top or trending stories.

• Choose the story genres you like to read by tapping the Filter icon.

• Tap Apply Filter selecting one or more genres.

Manage your bookmarks

​

Save stories to your library to read later or again.

 

• Open the story you wish to bookmark.

• A feature bar will appear at the bottom of your screen or when you scroll up, tap the icon shaped like a ribbon to Bookmark. It has now been added to your library.

• Exit the story by tapping on the back arrow and then go to your Library (located at the bottom right-hand corner of the screen).

• Select ‘Bookmarks’ to find your saved stories, you can unbookmark any story by holding down on the story profile you wish to remove.

• Alternatively, to remove any bookmarked story, open the story and tap the bookmark icon again.

• Select ‘Bookmarks’ to find your saved stories, you can unbookmark any story by holding down on the story profile you wish to remove.

• You can also bookmark a story by long-tapping the story in the story list and clicking bookmark in the context menu; remove a bookmarked story by doing the same or by swiping it to the side in the bookmarked stories list.

Download and remove stories

​

Only subscribed users with Novellea Premium can download stories.

 

• Open the story you want to download.

• At the top right hand corner of your screen, tap the three-circle icon.

• Tap Download Story or Delete Story

• You can also delete a story by swiping it to the side in the downloaded stories list.

Change your email address

​

• Tap on the Profile icon on the top right-hand corner

• Tap Settings.

• Tap Update email.

• Enter your new email address.

• Tap Update.

Like a story

​

Open the story you want to Like.

​

• A feature bar will appear at the bottom of your screen or when you scroll up, tap the icon shaped as a thumbs up to Like a story.

• For Novellea Premium members, a portion of your subscription fee will be distributed to the authors of the stories you liked.

​

Adjust text size

​

• Open a story.

• At the top right hand corner, tap the three-circle icon.

• Tap Adjust Text Size and adjust accordingly.

• You can also change the default text size in your Settings which will apply to all stories.

​

Mature content

​

Content suitable for ages over 18 will be rated and labelled as Mature. If you do not want to view any mature content, it can be disabled in the settings.
